How to Obtain Document Image for Email Transmittal

If you filled out the form by hand or, even if you used the ‘fillable” form, a signature is required.  If you don’t have a digital signature, there is a need for a “hard copy” to sign, and subsequently a need to convert that paper form into a digital file (preferably either jpg or pdf format) for transmittal.  Two primary options exist for that conversion; (1) Take a picture of form or (2) Scan the form.  The former usually results in a distorted image, and most people probably don’t have a scanner.  The solution is to use a free app, Adobe Scan, for your tablet or cell phone.  Adobe Scan uses the device’s camera and provides on-screen instructions to walk you through the process. It also straightens out the image for you and some fundamental image editing tools are provided as well - it is a very useful app.
